Abstract:

This presentation details my work in creating a new hazard mitigation plan for the small village of East Nassau, New York that was focused on educating the public about the risks associated with natural disasters and the steps they can take to prepare for them. It shows just how important educational campaigns are in our changing climate and how they can create more resilient communities.
